Learn From The 2022 Europe Fintech Awards Winners

Posted by Oli Rebbeck on 7 February 2023

Are you thinking about entering the Europe FinTech Awards 2023? Do you need a little inspiration? Or are you wondering about which category to enter?

Then take a look at the winners from last year’s awards to see what a winning entry looks like.

The Europe FinTech Awards 2022 ceremony saw several fantastic fintechs, directors, innovators and rising stars at the top of their games prevail across 20 categories.

Pension Bee was the standout company of the awards last year.

It won the Diversity and Inclusion Award, Pensions Tech of the Year, Best Employer and the biggest award of the night, FinTech of the Year, for its mission to improve people’s financial wellbeing, its social responsibility and for attracting young people to the pension market.

What is the mission of your company? And what benefits are you bringing to people’s lives?

The independent panel of judges likes to see fintechs that bring benefits that extend beyond the obvious.

BR-AG is one such company. It won the 2022 Data Initiative of the Year award for its impactful initiative that focuses on the collection, organisation and visualisation of financial institutions’ environmental data—that promises positive effect on climate change.

Many of 2022’s cohort of fintechs also won an award that provided a product or service with great customer service and/or made life easier for its customers.

It might save customers time by shortening an application process, improve a customer’s financial wellbeing, serve an underserved market, or allow more customers to access loans through an easy-to-use app or application process.

Reach and scalability are also important. You need to have an innovative and user-friendly product, but the more people who have access, the greater impact it will have.

If your product or service is accessible and has the capacity to expand, such as across borders, it has the potential to reach—and help—more people.

In essence, how does your technology improve people’s lives? And how many people does it benefit? If you can answer these questions, you will be in with a great chance of winning at our awards.

Don’t forget the 2023 entry deadline is rapidly approaching. You have until 31 March to register and enter one or more categories covering the full spectrum of fintech in Europe
