The Europe FinTech Awards 2025 winners

The Europe FinTech Awards ceremony took place in London on Thursday evening.

Since the entry deadline passed in May the judging panel has been working hard to assess all the entries and decide on the winners in each category.

The biggest winners on the night were Corlytics, who won RegTech of the Year, as well as two individual prizes, Entrepreneur of the Year and Director of the Year.

The other big winner on the night was Wallester, who took home the main prize: FinTech of the Year!

The full list of winners is below – congratulations to everyone who won, and commiserations to those who didn’t.

Director of the Year: Monika Liikamaa and Denise Johansson from Enfuce

The judges were impressed that this entry showed a lot of growth and investment in people. As well as this, it displayed excellent entrepreneurship. This entry has heavily invested in both people and the environment.

Data Initiative of the Year: Sikoia

The judges chose this entry because they were impressed by the efficiencies it’s creating for customers, particularly in an important and cumbersome period in people’s lives. They’re also saving a great deal of time and money for companies.

Accounting Tech of the Year: FISKL

The judges were impressed by this innovative AI solution. This company has gained traction and is already showing successful results when many competitors are still in the building stage.

Web3 Award: CryptoSoft 

The judges chose this entry because of its uniqueness; it’s solving a specific problem which has a lot of real-world application, and will impact a lot of people. The judges also liked that the solution can be used in many different ways.

PayTech of the Year: Transfermate

This entry impressed judges with this company’s growth. In a short space of time, indeed the last two years, they’ve grown exponentially, tripling the amount of funds processed through their network, with customer acquisition also growing incredibly quickly.

Personal Finance Tech of the Year: Penny Technology

The judges thought this entry was brilliant. The solution tracks down and consolidates lost pensions, which the judges agreed is something we all need! They called it a great tool that’s solving a need in the market. 

Crypto Award: Sumsub

The judges were impressed by this company’s use of AI-driven fraud detection. How they deal with compliance features stood out to the judges, who called it a best-in-class KYC and AML offering.

Disruptor of the Year: Mifundo

The judges chose this one as the winner as they loved that this company is enabling people to take their credit history with them if they move abroad. It has excellent real-life application, and the judges also were impressed that it’s implemented across the continent. 

LendTech of the Year: InRento

The judges were impressed by this platform, calling it an excellent proposition. They were also impressed by how it has disrupted the market, making things more accessible to the wider public and potential buyers. 

Banking Tech of the Year: Featurespace

The judges really liked this entry, calling it a really on point solution. They liked that it had a lot of demonstrable evidence, and believe it to be a great application on an important topic. 

RegTech of the Year: Corlytics 

The judges were impressed by how well established and focused this operation is. They also liked that it displayed a great deal of scale. They called it a solid platform, and were impressed by this company’s investment into their products. 

Best ESG Campaign: Project Nemo 

The judges were really impressed by this entry and by how it’s tackling a problem that’s hard to resolve and doing a lot of really necessary work to allow people to operate equally in financial services. They’re impressed that it’s started to hit on an important thing that’s been ignored – people focus on environment in ESG, but this is leading the charge on educating the industry on accessibility. 

Rising Star of the Year: Chris Brown from Corlytics 

The judges chose this winner because they like that the person works closely with the users to ensure the platform is truly offering what they need. This person has created a lot of new functionality which addresses emerging market trends and opportunities, always staying at the forefront of the ever-evolving regtech space. 

Entrepreneur of the Year: John Byrne from Corlytics

The judges were impressed that this person was part of the founding board for a key industry body. Through this body they’ve advocated for global standards, participating in key UN initiatives. They’ve also helped their organisation grow through key acquisitions.

InsurTech of the Year: Protection Guru 

The judges chose this entry because it’s offering a service which has never existed before in the market. It’s making the life insurance process much easier for advisers, allowing them to serve customers better by offering more relevant products. 

Investment Tech of the Year: Monefit 

The judges were impressed by the strength of this entry. They really like the great stats given to back up what was being said. The judges were also impressed by the scope, with over 20,500+ active investors across 31 countries. 

WealthTech of the Year: Penny Technology 

The judges were impressed that this company keeps the user closely in the loop throughout the pension transfer process. The judges liked that they give the user the opportunity to make sure their data is correct, which saves time and money for the user. 

Best Employer Award: Flagstone Group 

The judges chose this entry because of the company’s quite astonishing employee onboarding and employee wellbeing. The judges called it very original and specific, and really liked how much the company puts into its people. 

Team of the Year: Project Nemo 

What impressed the judges about this entry is that the team constantly evolves, which makes it incredibly unique. Members join, before leaving to complete paid work, before joining again, bringing new skills and experience. The judges were impressed by the dynamic approach. 

Fintech Partner Award: Wallester 

The judges chose this entry because the company is dedicated to working closely together with partners, building products and services using a co-creation method. This allows the company to both create and scale products quickly, meaning customers and users alike are best served.

Young Achiever of the Year: Aoife Mohan from CubeMatch 

This entry impressed judges because the individual goes beyond their responsibilities, working closely across multiple departments within the business, including collaborating with the C-level executives. Recently they implemented a new CRM, helping to drive the business forward. 

Startup of the Year: Mifundo

The judges chose this entry because the company has shown very strong growth. They’ve done this by revolutionising the cross-border credit history process, integrating more financial partners and making it easier for people to transfer their credit history when they move. 

Fintech of the Year: Wallester 

The judges were impressed by the numbers and growth shown by this company. They operate in multiple countries, giving really good coverage for their service. In a very competitive landscape, the judges said it’s unbelievable that they’ve been able to achieve this level of growth.
